Blaupunkt BTW LITE True Wireless Earbuds Review & Pros-Cons

This is a review of Blaupunkt BTW Lite True Wireless earphones after using it for 2 months. The best value for money wireless earbuds?

I was in need to get a 'True' Wireless Earphones around two months ago. I am quoting the word True because there are plenty of wireless earphones available where the two earpieces are connected through a wire. Since I have to take calls on a single earpiece, the wired-wireless earphone was not suitable for me. Also, the wired-wireless earphones are a bit bulky and can be intrusive sometimes. So, I decided to go for true wireless earphones.

Now the same cycle starts whenever you are looking for a product online. You start with the keyword 'Best budget PRODUCT_NAME' on google and look for each and every product available. If you are lazy, you will directly search on Amazon/Flipkart for your product. I did the former one and fumbled upon the number of wireless earphones. I looked out for each brand starting from boAt, Tagg, Skullcandy, Noise, Realme to Bose, Jabra, Blaupunkt, Sony, and Apple(though out of budget!).

After comparing each and every product for hours, I could not decide on a single product as each and every product had its pros and cons. So after filtering the products with my requirements, I lastly came across the Blaupunkt BTW-LITE, which was a new product and did not have any reviews available online. There was a probability that this earphone is a total waste of money, but since I had Blaupunkt's Speakers in some of the cars, I took chance and ordered the earphones.

After two days, with Amazon's fast delivery, it was delivered to my doorstep. Let's look at the product and then we will discuss it's pros and cons.

    2. Charging Cable

    6. The main earbuds case
It is a rounded box with a matte plastic finish, the Blaupunkt logo is printed above the case.

    7. Earbuds case front view

There is a slot from where you can open the case, it does not have magnetic closing or soft closing but feels satisfactory. It does not feel flimsy at all.
The white line is the battery indicator, it does not have levels but there are 4 cases when the light turns on:

    1. When the light is blinking while connected to the charger: It means that the case is being charged
    2. When the light is steady while connected to the charger: It means that the case has fully charged
    3. When the light is steady while not connected to the charger: It means that the earbuds are being charged
    4. When the light is blinking while not connected to the charger: It means that the battery of the case is low

    8. Earbuds case while opened

You can see the space for both the earbuds, the left, and right earpiece can be identified with the markings. The magnetic mechanism in the case makes the ingress of earbuds into their place easy.
The design earbuds and the slot in the case are a bit confusing in the dark as you will put earpieces to the wrong slots. There is a status indicator LED at bottom of the earbuds which indicates the status of connection and charging.

    9. The charging point for the case

A micro USB type plug is provided for charging, TYPE-C would be appreciated. The expected charging time for the case is around 2-3 hours while the earbuds charge in 30-40 minutes in the case. The case when fully charged can charge the earbuds for up to 5 times.

    10. The charging pins for earbuds

The charging pins can be seen in the case as well as on the earpiece.

    11. The earbuds

The earbuds are very compact in size and lightweight. It weighs at 6 grams each, so you will not feel it while wearing. Though passive noise cancellation is great with the in-ear style ear-tips. The design makes it easy to wear for hours.
The side panel of the earbuds (where the brand logo is printed) works as touch-sensitive controls. There are various causes for these controls:

    • A single tap on any of the earbuds: plays/ pauses the song
    • Double-tap on left earbud: previous track
    • Double-tap on right earbud: next track
    • Long press for two seconds: Voice assistant
    • Long press for around 5 seconds on any one or both earbuds: Turns off that earbud or turns of both the earbuds if pressed together
Also, the earbuds are light in weight and do not fall off even in running condition or during a workout. Being splash resistant makes it ideal for a workout. I have been wearing these during my workout and they never did fall off due to movements.

Pros and Cons of Blaupunkt BTW LITE True Wireless Earphone:

    Pros:

    • Very lightweight and compact in size, easy to wear for hours
    • Sound Quality: This is the point where it shines compared to other earbuds, it is very clear in sound and does not distort at high volumes. The bass is on the higher side for my liking. Also, the volume is sufficient and does not feel less unless you are keeping a sub-woofer on your head!
    • Battery life: It comes with around 3 hours of battery life once the earbuds are charged and I am getting the same while listening to medium-high volumes.
    • Bluetooth range: Being equipped with Bluetooth V5.0, it has a longer range compared to other wireless earbuds. It also depends upon the device you have paired it with. I did not have any problems when I am in my bedroom and the mobile is in the hall.
    • What else would you need from wireless earbuds?

    Cons:

    • Touch controls compatibility issues: While it works seamlessly with YouTube and Google music player, it does not work properly with PowerAmp and some other music players. Also, touching them unconsciously can play/pause your track, so physical buttons would be nice.
    • Battery level indicator on the case: The single light makes it difficult to estimate battery life (Same as your Royal Enfield Classic 350!). A battery level indicator would be a better option, though it looks sophisticated.
    • Connecting with the laptop: while connected to my laptop, it sometimes lags. It might because of the wireless mouse and WI-FI, will update on this soon.
    • The earpieces have a pairing issue while connecting with each other if the battery of the earpiece is low, quite weird, isn't it? To solve this, you can charge the earpieces in the case or charge the case if it has a low battery. I have found a solution to solve this issue by resetting the earbuds as shown in this video.

    Blaupunkt BTW Lite vs BTW01:

There is not much difference between these two other than a better battery in Blaupunkt BTW-01. Though the BTW Lite has a respectable battery life of 3 hours after charging, in most cases it will be sufficient for any user. So in my opinion, you should get the BTW-Lite and save more than a thousand rupees.

    Conclusion:

Is Blaupunkt BTW LITE True Wireless Earphone the best value for money Wireless Earbuds at price below ₹3000?

So, overall this is the best 'True' Wireless Earphones/ Earbuds you can get under the budget of  ₹ 3000. It has all the things you need from true wireless earphones- small size, enough volume, thumping bass, sufficient battery life. So if you are looking for a budget wireless earphones, these Blaupunkt BTW Lite Truly Wireless Earbuds are hands-down the best option according to me. 1. I'm thinking of buying it, but a bit a bit confused between these and noise X0 truly wireless, they're a bit expensive, around 2k more than this. Ive really small ears so blaupunkt seem a really nice choice. Your take?

      1. Hello Samuel,

For the 2000 extra, you will get wireless charging and a bit more battery life. But on the downside, to get the large battery life it has increased size of earbuds and the earphone case.

So, if you have requirements of a wireless charging earphone and long battery life (claimed 30 hours) and ready to pay Rupees 2000 extra for that then you should go for the Noise XO.

I can't comment on the sound quality of the XO as I have't used them yet, but I am confident that the sound quality of Blaupunkt won't disappoint you.

        Hope it helps!

      1. Hello Milind,
There is a slight difference between both of the Lite and 01 model.
The battery in charging case and earbuds is slightly more in 01 compared to Lite. Other than that, no difference is found.

        Regards,
        Mihir

    3. This is my first time visiting the website. BurnPedia.com is a user-friendly website. I would easily navigate and find all the information I need. The website was handy in comparing the features of wireless headphones in one place. The website is useful in making quick decisions. I recommend the website to my friends who wanted to buy Air pods.

    4. hi, can you tell me where we can find the serial number of the product for online warranty.?

      1. Hello Aparna, it can be found on 2 places:

        1) On the headset case, a white sticker would be there at the base showing your product's serial number

        2) On the product box, look for the small rectangle sticker on the right side wall. That side also has the original 3D Hologram from the Blaupunkt brand.

        Hope it helps!

      1. Hello Abhinav,

Try connecting through another USB cable and power source if you have so, and if the problem persists, it means that you have a problem in your case. If your product is under warranty, you can contact customer care.

    6. If I take 5V 2.4amp plug instead of 5V-1amp which is needed how much time will the case take to charge the same 3 to 4hrs or or less than that

      ReplyDelete
      Replies
      1. In either of the above case, the case will consume only the power that it needs to charge, irrespective of 2.4A or 1A as it does not have any type of fast charging. Usually, it takes around 2 hours to fully charge the case from 0%.
